Anti-roll bar bushing replacement (eccentric sleeve)
How is the anti-roll bar bushing replaced?
Tools needed: grinding discs (115 mm), pair of C-clamps, flat pry bar. 1. Completely remove the rod between the bushing and the firewall. 2. Saw the old bushing out with a hacksaw (2 slots on the outer diameter) or use chisel + hammer. 3. Mark the arrow position on the new bushing with a marker on the outer diameter. 4. Press the new bushing in by hand first, then use C-clamps one mm at a time. 5. Use a grinding disc on the bushing side (the sleeve fits in the disc center hole) and a flat pry bar on the opposite side.
How do you know the bushing direction?
The bushing has an arrow that points upward. The mark must align with the mount mark. The bushing is pressed in from the tapered side.
