855 tailgate lock cylinder removal

Assumption: license plate panel/opener system is removed from the car. 1. Remove C-clip from lock cylinder end (flies far easily). 2. Lift black plastic lever and spring off. 3. Carefully remove plastic bushing with small screwdriver from multiple spots bit by bit. The bushing has a locking pin. 4. Remove black plastic lock cylinder extension in the same direction as the bushing. 5. Free the star clip between the extension and metal lock cylinder. 6. Pull lock cylinder out outward — comes out easily without a key.
