850 shifter cable bushings and bearings

Replace the rubber bushings at the shifter cable end (transmission side) with bearings. A bearing number 608 (dimensions 8×22×7 mm) fits directly in place of the bushing. You'll also need shims 8.4×16 mm and 8.4×24 mm to adjust thickness (the bearing is 7 mm, the original bushing is thicker).

Gear shifting becomes solid and precise — like a Japanese car. A few euros investment, but the car feels completely different to drive.
