850 front shock absorber top bearing replacement

850

How is the 850 front shock absorber top bearing replaced?

1. Loosen the top nut (6) one turn before fully removing the shock absorber. 2. Remove drag link from shock absorber. 3. Remove shock absorber 2 bottom nuts. 4. Remove ABS hose. 5. Remove 3 top nuts — shock absorber comes out completely. 6. Secure shock to workbench, install spring compressors and loosen top nut. 7. Replace bearing/support rubber and reassemble in reverse order.

Do wheel angles need adjustment after replacement?

Yes — have the wheel angles adjusted unless you can get the shock tower to exactly the same position as before. Mark the shock position on the tower before removal.
