EVRY Mods and Other Modifications
How is the EVRY mod done on a D525T (2.5 TDI) engine?
The boost pressure sensor has three wires. Connect a potentiometer (10 kΩ) between the yellow-gray and yellow-black wires. Reduce the resistance until you reach your desired maximum boost pressure. Error codes will not appear unless you pull the resistance too close to zero. For example: 4,000 Ω: 1.4 bar on 3rd gear, 1.5 bar on 5th gear 2,000 Ω: 1.5 bar on 3rd gear
How is the EVRY mod wired in practice?
The EVRY goes between pins 2 and 3. With diodes, the resistance should be 0–50 ohms. Without diodes, a potentiometer alone is sufficient. Note: adjustment below 36 ohms may trigger the warning light on startup.
How is the D525T diesel fuel delivery increased mechanically?
Loosen the three middle (not the top) Torx bolts on the pump. Tap the pump toward the timing belt to increase fuel delivery, and toward the injection pump belt to decrease it.
How is boost mod done?
Connect a 10 kΩ potentiometer between MAP sensor wires 1 and 2. The numbers are found on the connector. Error codes will not appear even if you adjust significantly higher.
How are power levels increased on the X40 (1999–2001) D4192T2 engine?
The connector is located at the base of the battery tray (round/oval connector). Connect a resistance of 500–1,000 ohms between pins 2 and 3. A potentiometer is a good tool for finding the right value.
