Heater Core Replacement V70

1. Disconnect the heater core hoses from the engine compartment side: spread the plastic ring wrench fingers and push the ring towards the firewall. 2. Blow out the core with compressed air so that coolant doesn't run into the car.

1. Remove the dashboard undercover (2 pcs 25 Torx screws). 2. Remove the center console bottom: the swiveling clamp between the seats (turn 1/4 turn counterclockwise with a coin, hinge to horizontal). Use a plastic tool in the gap at the top and lift from the bottom up. 3. Brake light switch removal: press the brake firmly, press the switch towards the firewall and simultaneously the white sleeve. Press the clips on the sides and pull the switch out. 4. Open the steering column joint bolt (13 mm wrench).

1. Remove the aluminum clips from the pipes/core. 2. Twist the pipes to the side (towards the dashboard, i.e., upward). 3. The core comes out just barely. 4. Reassemble in reverse order. Apply lubricant to the pipes and new O-rings. Note: For a larger man, access to the footwell is very cramped.
