Air conditioning compressor pulley bearing replacement

From Volvo, the entire magnetic clutch assembly costs about 330 euros. The bearing alone costs about 60 euros including postage. The work takes 3-4 hours when done carefully.

1. Wheel off and steering to the right. Support the car corner on a sturdy jack. 2. Remove trim piece from the fender. Alternator belt off. 3. Hold with a homemade tool and remove the plate 10 mm bolt with a wrench. 4. Screw 5×45 mm bolts into the plate holes — these remove the plate. Be careful the plate does not start to rotate. 5. Be careful the adjustment shims do not fall off the wheel. 6. Replace bearing: use cold spray and bearing sealant.
