Upgrading an old key to a styletto key

Materials needed: old Volvo keys (key + remote control), new styletto key blanks. If your car only has one key left, upgrading is not recommended due to risks. The key blank should be cut in advance.

1. Open the old remote control (T8 Torx). 2. Open the new key by hand by flexing it (watch out for the styletto mechanism spring). 3. Transfer the circuit board and battery contact flap from the old remote to the new one. 4. Transfer the entry transponder from the old key to the new key's tip by carefully prying open the old key's shell (transponder on the right edge, logo facing up).
