Why does Volvo D5 stall randomly while driving?
The typical cause is a faulty fuel transfer pump in the tank. Symptoms: the car stalls while driving even though there is fuel in the tank, and toward the end it only starts with a full tank.
What is the cost of the transfer pump?
It is not worth ordering the transfer pump from a Volvo dealership — the price can be over 500 €. A cheaper aftermarket pump can be found elsewhere.
