How are Volvo SRS fault codes read?
1. Turn on ignition (IGN). DO NOT TOUCH THE KEY BEFORE STEP 8. 2. Wait 15 seconds. 3. Connect a jumper wire to pins 1 and 3 (outer pins) of the three-pin SRS connector on the back of the center console. 4. Wait 2–5 seconds and remove the jumper wire. 5. Read the flash codes from the SRS warning light.

SRS fault code meanings: Code 1: SRS control module — replace with new module Code 2: Control module capacitor — check wiring Code 3: SRS warning light — check wiring Code 4: Driver airbag — low resistance Code 5: Driver airbag — high resistance Code 6: Seatbelt pretensioner — wiring, low resistance Code 7: Seatbelt pretensioner — wiring, high resistance Code 8: Control module — ignition circuit short to +12V Code 9: Control module — ignition circuit short to ground Code 10: Control module — internal fault
